AUGUST ACTIVITY CALENDAR

Thursday, August 5 -Movies at AMC  6:00 PM-10:30 PM
Cost: $9.25 for movie plus money for dinner
Meet at the YMCA by 6:00 PM. We will drive to the AMC movie theater at Valley View where members can choose to see any movie playing, as long as it is over by 10:00 PM. We should return to the YMCA by 10:30 PM, or earlier if all movies end early.
 
Sunday August 8 -Hawaiian Falls Water Park  11:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Cost: $20.00 per person
Meet at the YMCA by 11:30 AM. We will drive to Hawaiian Falls where members will have a few hours to enjoy the water rides, lazy river, or just lay in the sun. We should return to the YMCA by 5:00 PM.
 
Friday, August 13 -Dinner, Starbucks and Mesquite Rodeo  6:00 PM-10:30 PM
Cost: $12.00 for general admission ticket plus money for dinner
Meet at the YMCA by 6:00 PM. After dinner we will make a quick Starbucks stop before heading to the rodeo. Members will enjoy two hours of rodeo action. We should return to the YMCA by 10:30 PM.
 
Sunday, August 15 Dave & Busters "Eat and Play" combo-11:00 AM-3:00 PM
Cost:  $25.00 for meal, drink and $10.00 playing card, extra money if you want to play more!
Meet at the YMCA by 11:00 AM. We will drive to Dave & Busters off Central. After lunch we will have some time to [play games. We will return to the YMCA by 3:00 PM.
 
Thursday, August 19  Jazz in the Atrium at the DMA-5:30 PM-9:30 PM
Cost: $10.00 for admission plus money for food/snacks
Meet at the YMCA by 5:30 PM. We will drive to the DMA where members will enjoy a few hours of Jazz by the Quamon Fowler Group. Saxophonist Quamon Fowler is a new talent to watch on the Dallas jazz scene. Fowler has showcased his work on Arlington Jones' live recording "Move the Heart." Members can also walk through the museum. We should return to the YMCA by 9:30 PM.
 
Wednesday, August 25 -Studio movie Grill   6:00 PM-10:30 PM
Cost: $9.25 for movie plus money for dinner
Meet at the YMCA by 6:00 PM. We will drive to the Addison movie grill where members can choose to see any movie playing, as long as it is over by 10:00 PM. We should return to the YMCA by 10:30 PM, or earlier if all movies end early.
